CONSTRUCTION OF A HEXAGON USING A CIRCLE WITH LENGTH OF ONE SIDE GIVEN

 

GUIDELINES:

1.    Draw a circle using the radius (length) of one side of the hexagon

 

 

2.    Draw a straight line passing through the mid-points of the circle (diameter) touching the ends of the circle, marking points “A and B”

 

 

3.    With the same radius on point A, draw an arc above and below A on the circumference (circle)

 

4.    With the same radius on point B, draw an arc above and below “B” on the circumference (circle)

 

 

5.    Join the marked points using straight lines to form a HEXAGON.
