TO BISECT A GIVEN LINE

BISECTING A GIVEN LINE (A,B).

GUIDELINES:



1.     Draw line A,B with the measurement given.

 

2.     Make A the center and using any radius greater than half the length of AB, draw an arc above and below the given line AB.

 





3.     Make B the center, using the same radius, draw an arc to cut the previous one drawn above and below.

 



4.     Now join the points of intersection of the arcs above cutting through the given line below.

 

 



 

 

5.     Now you have bisected line AB, that gives you an equal half of the given line.
